As part of the event for the presentation of the All-View Display by Honor in Hong Kong, the first details about Honor View 20 regarding the punch-hole selfie and the main lens on the back were announced.

The punch-hole selfie camera is the name that uses more and more for the selfie camera inside the hole at some point on the screen, and Honor View 20 will have it on the right side of the screen. A screen called “All-View Display,” with Honor stating that the hole for the selfie is 4.5mm in diameter compared to the 6mm of the competition. The selfie lens is placed “diamond-like” under the screen, while at the same time it contributes to the structure of the screen while, according to Honor, “the hole for the selfie camera is not like the others.”

As for the cameras at the back of Honor View 20, one of the lenses will be the Sony IMX856 CMOS at 48MP which will ensure high-quality photographic shots, especially in intense and low light conditions, with Honor revealing a photo taken with the View 20 camera and the results to reflect its capabilities.

Inside the Honor View 20 will be the Huawei’s Kirin 980 processor along with the “48MP AI HDR” mode for taking a 48MP photo with artificial intelligence, which is ensured by the dual-NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and the dual-ISP (Image Signal Processor). In addition, View 20 will feature “Link Turbo”, an AI feature that allows downloading via Wi-Fi and 4G simultaneously when Wi-Fi does not respond directly, so there is no download delay.

Honor View 20 will become official on December 26th in Beijing, and its worldwide release will take place on January 22th at a Paris event.
