Almost 3.5 years after the release of the iPad mini 4, Apple is preparing to release its new model. The new iPad mini 5 does not seem to have made major design changes with the release date expected in March or April.
According to information from accessories manufacturers for the new iPad mini 5, it will have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a Lightning port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and very likely to have the same design and dimensions as the current iPad mini.
The iPad mini 4 processor A8 is likely to be replaced with an Apple A10 or A10X in the new iPad mini 5. However, the battery and its cameras seem to remain the same as the iPad mini 4.
Perhaps it will acquire FaceID technology and USB TYPE-C connectivity, such as the iPad Pro series, though this will significantly increase production costs.
