MediaTek has announced that it is working on a new chipset built that will be 7nm and will support the connection to the new 5G network.

As stated by MediaTek, the new chipset is superior to the Helio P90 SoC and is designed for high-end mobile devices. The new chip will be released in 2019, but the official date has not yet been announced.

It’s price is expected to be lower than Snapdragon, so it’s friendly for companies who want to make more affordable 5G mobile.

The new chipset comes next to the company’s modem that supports the 5G network, which is none other than the M70 5G. Nobody knows for a moment whether MediaTek will release the new chipset as a flagship company.
