Oppo and Vivo participated in the China Mobile Partners Conference and unveiled the 5G prototypes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modem.

Both Oppo and Vivo belong to BBK Electronics, the Realme and OnePlus group of companies, and have demonstrated the 5G smartphone they are preparing with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 modem. The Oppo had the Find X with a Snapdragon 855 processor that opened up internet pages and video streaming at 5G speeds in less than a second, which is impressive.

As for Vivo, it had the VEX NEX 5G that was a modified NEX S with the Snapdragon X50 modem that was streaming live from a camera, showing that it had zero data loss during streaming through China Mobile’s 5G antennas. We need to emphasize Vivo and Oppo will be presenting their normal 5G devices in early 2019 and are expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 855 which is based on the 7nm architecture and is capable of connecting to 5G networks.
