Oppo‘s vice president, Brian Shen, announced last night an upcoming smartphone series from Oppo, Reno. Oppo also shared the colorful Twitter logo, and it seems that the Reno series will serve the youngest audience.
Oppo has announced that the first Reno smartphone will be released in China on April 10th. However, the company has not provided any additional information about the features of the Oppo Reno smartphone or smartphone.
GizmoChina noted that Oppo’s other vice president, Shen Yiren, referred to the features of an upcoming Oppo device. Specifically, Shen Yiren said the upcoming Oppo smartphone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a 4.065 mAh battery. However, it is not known whether this device will be the first Oppo Reno.
The smartphone will have a triple-back camera that will feature Oppo’s 10x optical zoom technology, which the company presented during MWC 2019. The Oppo confirmed that the three cameras will support focal lengths from 16mm to 160mm .
The company also confirmed that the 10x optical zoom technology will make its debut on its next product, scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2019. April is just in the beginning of the second quarter, so maybe the first device with 10x technology optical zoom to be the first Oppo Reno.
Finally, the first photo of Oppo Reno appeared in Weibo, the device in the image has the color Aurora Green which we saw earlier in the Oppo R17 Pro. Of course, this image may be the creation of a concept artist, not an official render. Oppo refused to comment on anything about the device, and the image in question.
