There were reports four months ago that Samsung is preparing a new Galaxy Tab with model number SM-P205. Today the company announced it. This is the Galaxy Tab A 8 “with S Pen support. Its official name is Galaxy Tab A with 8.0 “S Pen, with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. The S Pen comes inside the device, as with Samsung Galaxy Note, so you can easily carry it with you. It is also resistant to water and dust with IP68 certification.

Adding S Pen makes it an excellent choice for people who want smaller tablet with stylus support. It will not, however, like the S Pen that has Galaxy Note 9, so do not expect it to work as a remote control. The tablet page reports that users will not need to charge S Pen.

This is a middle class device. The new Galaxy Tab A features an Exynos 7904 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with microSD card support. There is a 8MP front camera and a 5MP back camera, a C-type USB connector, a 4.200mAh battery and LTE support.

The presentation did not show which Android version will run. It will probably be Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI. It will be available in black and gray color options. The price has not been announced.
