Xiaomi is one of the companies that focuses on its devices and after-sales and enriches devices with software updates. Recent information from the MIUI forum reveals that Android Pie will come to the company’s ten smartphones.

The Global Beta will be available for two of them before the end of March, five more will be available until June, while for the other three models there is no specific timetable.

The 10 Xiaomi smartphones expected to upgrade to Android Pie are:

  • Mi Mix 2 upgrade is expected in Q2 of 2019
  • Mi 6 the upgrade is expected in Q2 of 2019
  • Redmi 6A upgrade is expected in Q2 of 2019
  • Redmi 6 upgrade is expected in Q2 of 2019
  • Mi Note 3 the upgrade is expected in Q2 of 2019
  • Redmi Note 5 the upgrade is expected in Q1 of 2019
  • Redmi S2 / Y2 upgrade is expected in Q1 of 2019
  • Mi 9 Explorer under development
  • Mi 6X under development
  • Redmi Note 6 Pro under development

Android Pie will bring extra features to the Xiaomi smartphone such as Picture-in-Picture mode, password APIs, sliders to adjust volume, and more.
