The Xiaomi Pocophone F1, despite software deficiencies, was one of the most affordable 2018 phones with Snapdragon 845 SoC. However, the lack of Widevine L1 support is noticeable from the first day of its release. Even when the company promised to find a solution to the problem, users were disappointed.
Through a tweet, POCO India’s Managing Director, C Manmohan, announced that it has begun distributing the next software update for the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 and includes support for Widevine L1.
Good News! We have started rolling out a new stable update for all our #POCOF1 fans. Key highlights of this update:
– 4k recording at 60FPS
-Game Turbo Mode
-Widevine L1 support
-Latest security patch

It is worth noting that only DRM content for HotStar and Amazon Prime Video is currently compatible. POCO promised that owners of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will soon be able to watch Netflix in HD.
Some other important elements of software update are support for 4K video recording at 60fps, the addition of floating call frames when playing a game and Game Turbo. Otherwise, the new version contains the latest updated security updates and several bug fixes.
