The Redmi 7A is the successor to the Redmi 6A, is the most economical smartphone of the Redmi series and was announced today by Xiaomi. The smartphone will come in black and blue, will incorporate the Snapdragon 439 and have a 5.45-inch screen with HD + resolution (720 x 1440px) and 18:9 aspect ratio while its edges are slightly convex.

Xiaomi has now equipped the Redmi 7A with either 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space or with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. The storage space can be expanded using a microSD card up to 256GB.

The smartphone features a 13MP main camera on the back with PDAF and LED flash while a 5MP camera is integrated in front.

The Redmi 7A battery will have a capacity of 4.000mAh and in combination with the Snapdragon 439 we expect the battery to withstand at least two days. It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone will come with Android 9.0 Pie installed.

The price and release date of the Redmi 7A will be announced on May 28 along with the revelation of the Redmi K20.
